This single-jointed eggbutt bit made of hard carbon allows for direct transmission of the rein aids to the horse’s tongue and lower jaw due to its fixed side pieces. The fixed side pieces also protect the sensitive corners of the mouth and provide slight lateral guidance. The bit lies particularly quietly in the horse’s mouth.
The single-jointed bit is a true classic. It acts on the tongue and lower jaw. When rein pressure is applied, the joint in the center of the mouthpiece slightly angles forward, relieving pressure on the center of the tongue and directing more pressure onto the edges of the tongue.
