How to measure for a F. R. A. Cavallo Hoof Boot:

Measure each hoof from buttress to toe and across the widest part of the hoof after a fresh trim.

REGULAR size: Sole length and sole width are the same. This sole may not be suitable for a hoof with a width that exceeds the hoof length by more than one size.

Slim size (0 - 6): This sole width is 6 mm (1/4") less than the length for a more narrow hoof. If the width is more than 2 sizes narrower than the length, this sole may not be suitable.

BFB = Big Foot Boot

If you have a horse living on big hoofs, Cavallo offers a perfect boot for protection of his hoofs, the BFB hoof boots! Built with the same durabilty and quality that you have come to expect from Cavallo. Only this time for a large hoof. The BFB upper is heavy duty industrial grade1680 Denier Nylon with a soft foam collar for your equine’s comfort with refl ective logos for safety and a supple and flexible bulb. The boot goes on easily, conforms to individual hoofs and pasterns, and it stays on. Each boot can fit a left or right foot or be used on the rear hooves. The Big Foot Boot (BFB) offers all of the features of our Cavallo Regular Boot.

Size 8 Fits a hoof measuring 6 1/2”- 6 3/4” (166 – 173 mm). Size 10 Fits a hoof measuring 7 1/8″ – 7 1/2″ (182-189 mm). The hooves need to be trimmed no later than 2 weeks before measuring. Sold in pairs.
